NSA-IL HUMANITARIAN FOUNDATION
In 2003, the Illinois Chapter of the National Speakers Association took an unprecedented step by founding the NSA-IL Humanitarian Foundation – a tangible representation of the ideal that a true professional speaker is one whose balance in life is demonstrated by giving through “good works” for humanity.
It is the role of the Humanitarian Foundation to provide NSA-IL members and friends with opportunities to improve the quality of life within our community through the recognition of the good works of our peers and through financial assistance to charitable organizations in need.
HUMANITARIAN OF THE YEAR AWARD
The Selection Committee of the NSA-IL Humanitarian Foundation determines a Chapter member as the honoree, and the Foundation confers the Humanitarian of the Year Award at the Annual Benefit.
Award recipients are selected based upon their passion in helping the less fortunate through both word and action – giving to the community by teaching, leading, mentoring, writing, speaking, and other non-profit volunteer efforts.
