Honored as the Carnegie Foundation US Professor of the Year for Illinois, and the 2009-10 Distinguished Teaching Fellow at Columbia College Chicago, Beau has been a diversity facilitator for more than 25 years as well. She understands how to involve her audiences completely, whether in schools, associations, or corporate settings. Using exercises, media examples, questions and more questions, diversity issues are approached through self-reflection and sharing rather than typical box-checking "training."

With five earned degrees in such disparate fields as education, psychology/counseling, multicultural learning, media analysis and music, Beau continues to call upon her "blue collar" foundation to create community-based buy-in whenever she facilitates groups. Having presented workshops at scores of universities and associations across the country, she understands that analyzing one's personal motivation, fears, and yes, prejudices, takes special care and effort, but is necessary for success in today's world. When you and your organization are ready to ask the tough questions, Beau will make the journey a meaningful one with measurable outcomes.
